Canadian president of NCR Service Let go today

Top leader in Canada fell today, now all the territory manager will report to the USA. This is probably just the start, Canada will not only be run by the USA, they will be modeled like the USA, TM’s will hate it, suspect half will be let go, the remaining ones will get double the work dumped on them.

Curious why that TM keeps bringing up that employees salary. Are they saying the tech is over paid as the company nears split?

When the Macys legacy Technicians came on NCR had zero experience covering the account. Therefore they commanded a higher salary as Macys had NCR over a barrel. Of course the great company NCR is, they trained other CEs to learn the account and proceeded to let go many of the legacy Macys people. There are some of us left out there who have held on but I am ready to leave before this transition is active. Can’t stand the unethical way that things are done here plus the lack of cross training. I’ve heard complaints about salary but HR hired us and agreed with our TM at time of hire. Blame them not us. I respect the other CEs that are badly underpaid and they deserve better. I hope that Macys decides to go another direction next year and not select NCR for renewal since NCR considers Macys a low profile account. Good luck to the rest of you except for my current TM and TL.

My TM has mentioned my salary during our last 2 conversations. Very unprofessional if you ask me. I was very honest with him and will only go along with his plan if I absolutely have to. They want to move me and a team member out of what we know best for something new. Don’t want that despite always wanting to learn new things because my TM and TL are very sneaky. Lost a lot of respect for both of them especially the lack of communication. Once I find something else will be moving on and don’t want to be part of this transition as I think it’s nonsense and unnecessary. If I’m that bad you should have let me go a while ago. Anyone else have thoughts on this transition plan by NCR ?

When NCR took on the Macys Techs, they kept them a bit, then laid them all off. Macys techs were well paid in comparison to NCR CE’s.

My bets are that they create a contracting company and put half the techs in the pool, they will be told leave or go to the contractor company. It’s kinda like outsourcing locally. Union is always a target, with renaming the company’s, I suspect they can also dissolve the union, I maybe wrong but some grocery stores have closed for remodel and rebrandinding, and all the employees were gone, the sr ones could relocate to a different store but would bump a less sr persons job, still equates to a job loss, management would consider it a win. Will be a bumpy road for sure, fasten your seatbelts

I was told today that when the company separates into two that the retail side will not have any higher paid CEs. Meaning if you earn a certain salary you are not going to be considered for Retail, only the Finance ATM Network side. I don’t have a lot of confidence in this as I know several CEs on other teams who make as much as me or more and are in Retail. Has anyone else heard anything about this as part of the transition plan?

TM’s in Serbia? How stupid. How does anyone in Serbia know the customers, the CE’s, the area, the roads, the weather, etc. This decision was made by folks too stupid to pour pi-s from a boot with the instructions on the heel!

Would really like to know what’s going on with the TMs during the transition. Is this true about the position going to Serbia or is this only for certain territories? I know the FOSM that is overseeing the Canada team he is stretched pretty thin. My TM we hardly hear from or see so wouldn’t impact my team that much. We have to deal with our difficult TLs who think they run the show.

The future model is to have TM’s based in Serbia. My last 2 TM’s I have never personally met, they could be in Antarctica….all that’s needed is a cell phone and laptop.
