Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Employee Appreciation Day

It's 2pm US EST and my manager hasn't sent anything.

NCR as a whole hasn't even sent an email.

An email doesn't cost any money

You guys cry about any and everything. Employee Appreciation Day is silly. If your manager has a good relationship with you it's all that matters. One day out if the year changes nothing. The goal of layoff is to discuss these companies not be a therapy session for your personal problems. If you're bent over a silly corporate so-called celebration day; is guess your problems extend past NCR.

You can look in the office, open drawers, look under and in boxes, search your van, you will not find appreciation.

Corporate America does not give an eff about anyone maybe very few do. Or they claim to care which is a bunch of nonsense. NCR Diebold and all retailers could care less we are a means to an end.

Definitely not expecting anything from the Management in this company. Why start to appreciate us now for what we do? Yeah basically they said be glad to have a job and no info on this transition yet. I’ve been through a few transitions and they are never for the better. When you run a network call then arrive on site and are told the call is cancelled. You have to call and email a bunch of different people to report it. No reply from my TM or TL acknowledging the inconvenience and wasted time with travel.

What ncr appreciation day means is to appreciate you are still employed here and receive a pay check.

They don’t appreciate tools, parts, buildings, etc. So they don’t appreciate employees (they once called us “associates”, but they still did not care). All we are is cannon fodder.

Why would you expect that? You know your worth and all these so called engaging awards appreciations take them with a grain of salt. Have a drink on you today 😉
