@1nij+1lqUKmoC All totally true! I honestly have no idea who does any work in GP, it now seems to just be IDP compiling, ranking assessments and forums. That's 90% of the hours burnt each month!
They glanced over the fact that 15% of GP jobs were eliminated in the US last year, and they plan to accelerate future India growth.
They also missed the statement that US hiring is only due to the fact that a record number of people quit - and that they’ll stop US hiring early this year if those record levels aren’t maintained.
They skipped the fact our leaders are being stewarded to travel and phone chargers… instead of actual project returns and numbers that move the needle.
They totally ignored we will consume thousands of hours this year on IDPs, when our supervisors have no actual tools to know what is a realistic career path, and that all future moves are dictated by an understaffed HR… who is far more interested in country of origin (India) than actual skills or experience.
The former EM geos that I know were having a good laugh about the recent job postings
Isn't the plan to ship all the geo jobs to low cost countries anyway?
Hahhhaaaa we're hiring Geoscientists. Muaaahhhaah. Who in their right f n mind would consider a do nothing position w EM now?
