NetApp was slow to respond to customer needs (lower cost solutions). Inability to understand customer needs caused NetApp to have poor financials, allowed Pure and Vast to gain market share AND resulted in an 8% corporate layoff.

My questions are, who from the leadership team drop the ball? Are they still around? Shouldn't the leadership team be accountable for this huge mistake? Are they asking themselves these questions...time for new leadership!!

Is it crazy that I thought was an excellent interview with George, with clear, simple and detailed action plans? So many arm-chair trolls here; in the WWYD thread nobody elucidated as clear a plan as he does here. It was mostly "fire everyone" which gets one nowhere. So much hate to spread around it seems.

Remember that scene in "Idiocracy" when Pres. Camacho says "Well I have a solution!"?

Yeah that ...
