I totally agree it’s a shell game I was laid off January 19. They don’t wanna look bad like Goldman so they are laying people off and dribs and drabs so it doesn’t give them bad press. very calculated very cunning.

Meh…..yes, no, maybe. Citi has been doing stealth layoffs since January. A few people here and there along with asking for voluntary layoffs. There’s a method, a formula used so that it does not seem to be a whole lot and to be honest it isn’t. A trickle every day for a few quarters vs a flood all at once. Over time, it’ll be the same amount of water but it gives the illusion that “it’s not happening” as its in small increments.
Think of it as a shell game. Look over here, but not here or here. Throw in some excitable newsletters every so often as a distraction. Its your life to you but to Citi, its just a shell game.
