The layoffs are never-ending. There really is no beginning and end. It’s part of the M&M playbook in good times and bad. Probably 8 -10K in announced cuts since 2019. Can’t figure out a structure or how to grow, so cut the way to prosperity.
This is 100% true and this is why people should stop asking if there will be more layoffs and accept the reality. Layoffs will continue to happen all the time. Some will be major rounds, most will be just a few people here and there. But it will continue happening. There's no escaping it anymore.
