I will take VSP and save Intel 100k per year, forever 🙂

Retirement with rule if 75, for example, gets you 1 you are accelerated RSUs (all of them if at least 60). If eligible there are other benefits. Read up on it.Retire + severance is the way to go if you can swing it.
why would the common worker feel the need to sacrifice anything for Intel? Especially with everything that has happened over the past 3 months and the actions of management and HR that show they really no concern about said worker? Better for workers to look into Unionizing to put management/HR in check.
50% of my compensation as Intel salary is pocket money for me. Majority of my income comes from multiple side gigs. Major benefit for working at intel is healthcare benefit for my family. I hardly work 1/2 hour/day so no complain for salary cut.
What are techs scared of?
They easily have the most transferable skillsets across manufacturing.
Following procedures in semi manufacturing is just as easy as following procedures in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Unionization movement. If techs unionized they could cripple Intel and force them to reinstate benefits and recognitions company wide. IDM 2.0 won't go without well paid, well trained and well equipped fab techs. But most techs are too scared or don't know any better

@1ugy I would definitely take a VSP.
Nothing, this is just a job and not a particularly great one lately. Pay me a market rate compensation package and treat me with respect or I will go find another company that will.
@zdz+1ln9wZu1, what do you expect to get from the rule of 75 that a VSP won't already give you? Even if you meet the rule of 75 retirement criteria they don't accelerate the vesting of your stock unless you will be over 60. If you are less than a year away Intel already knows this. You will get targeted if there is a big layoff since they won't expect you to stay long and you probably cost too much. If you need to continue working after leaving Intel don't wait to get the resume out there.

I don't think that correction is right. You sacrifice 5%, meaning you give up, or lose 5%. Sacrificing -5% would equate to a gain then.
*-5% (actually -22.5%)
5% apparently
Nothing, I’m working in GER HR so will be very busy over next few years 😃
I’m about to sacrifice waiting for rule of 75 next year. I really dont think I should wait that long. Just a nagging feeling to GTFO.
We already got pay cut, no raise, dropped RSU value, less 401k. What else u need?
My manhood.
Wait, already did that when I started. :(
