This is typical bed bath! Someone below said it best, “wolf is sheep’s clothing”. They could have done this years ago…why now? Judas goats!!

We started coming in at 930 this week. We are all here together all the time, you can see where this is headed.

I haven’t heard anything about no one coming in before 9am. Is this for all stores, and starting when?

With not allowing people to come into the building until after 9am they kind of had no choice but to have them only work 40 hours. A few months ago when they tried to change the start times of the morning shift all of the SMs freaked out and they ended up not going forward with the change. Doing this allows the company to not allow anyone in the building before 9am but not have a mass exodus of SMs.

They will play it off as a positive work-life balance piece, for now. When wave 4 finishes up the real truth will come out. Wolf in sheep's clothing.

@4zrj+1lme3ZOU you are absolutely correct with your entire statement. If people have not learned the ones that were laid off in waves 1 and 2 were the lucky ones they are truly blind and in denial. The only ones left that are making the right choice in staying are those on the brink of retirement. Just ride it out earning an easy paycheck.

They don’t have to clock in and out but are only required to work 40 hours a week with no cut in their pay.
Next the asms will be cut to 35 hours.
There is much more to this regarding pto but no one has said anything yet.
They are cutting anyway they can at this point but yet are still hiring “advisors “ at huge salaries.
The higher up’s running this company seriously do not have a clue.
Every store will be closed by the summer.
No one is shopping in the stores.
Brick and mortar retail is living a slow death. BBB will be a history soon.

If the store managers are now hourly and clocking in and out they are no longer managers as per labor law. They are supervisors and non-exempt. Managers are salaried exempt.

Have not heard this anywhere but here. However it would not surprise me at all if they went this direction. It would get all the long term managers in go forward stores that are paid well to move on due to the pay reduction. Then they replace with DSK types who will do the job for 1/2 the pay. Next the remaining tenured DMs go and replace with more mall rats. Then BBB will have a management structure like your local family dollar. Glad I will not be here to watch the next episode of “how to destroy a company” brought to us by the clowns in Union.

Aren't sms salary? Just work 35 or 40 hours. Isn't this what you want?

This would explain why our store manager, who was the biggest cheerleader, suddenly announced his retirement, though at the moment, he and the two ASMs we had left are still getting 45 hours.

Is that for liquidation stores or the safe ones for now? If/when they drop sups to 35 or 37.5 consistently every single one will leave our store.
