Once upon a time, a large corporation considered closing sites. To ensure that they made the best choices, the company formed teams composed of executives from different departments. However, the teams encountered several challenges. The teams grappled with issues such as legacy politics and skills at some sites that hampered their ability to come to a consensus. Despite their diligent work, the teams struggled. Some site advocates argued that they were crucial to the company's success, even though the data suggested otherwise. Additionally, some sites had issues that seemed insurmountable and the teams couldn't agree on how to address them. Unfortunately, years later the company's financial situation deteriorated and past indecision served a painful lesson.

Drive Wellness on-site clinic at Irvine is closing up too.

90% of office spaces are empty in Irvine location. Some managers require their team to come to office twice a week. Those are pretty much waste of time to commute to office. The only reasons those low level mgrs or directors are micro-managing their teams. They want to see people working in office because they don’t trust their teams whom can work as productive when they work remote.

My boss works remote and creates value! Why can’t we all work remote? Saw him at Costco on a Wednesday at 3.

legacy sites are a cost hangover, so why not convert them to remote work and sort out the labs. If a GM can work remote, why can't the rest to reduce cost and save jobs?

If they need to find $100M per quarter, they need to consolidate some sites somewhere. On the flash side, they need to be cognizant of a potential future corporate transaction which might make the consolidation hard to predict right now.

Drive Wellness on-site clinic closures at the Great Oaks and the Milpitas clinics in April.
It was the best medical service I have known.

I think free coffee will not stop as workers should stay awake.

If they are going to close sites/offices, a couple good candidates might be the Chandler, AZ office and Irvine site. The company has continuously reduced footprint size at these locations.
