CNET is doing big layoffs. Lets see will Doug drop the ball like walmart did with amazon? AI is here and thousands of layoffs would be better than Doug lossing his bonuses.

GWP is the obvious part of the problem. It was created by the buddy buddy system and not back from lunch yet. All layoffs and store closings begin at the corporate level. Thoes at the corporate level are responsible for the finger crossed decision. Do you think they were fired or promoted?

It's been night and day since GWP format. Just a miserable place to work at I'm in a "good" store. I always here if the company don't change it will end up like Kmart. I agree but I also believe if it's not broke don't fix it. GWP has broken the loyal associates and nothing good has come from it except for some saved payrolls I assume.

When you are still out to lunch you miss your opportunity to over take Amazon. Go with the flow and replace your associates now. AI Sam's DC and clubs on the drawing board. See it on the horizon : walmart replaces store managers with AI. Walmart's customer service replaced by AI. Call walmart and talk to AI. Walmart's misinformation czar has been replaced by AI. While Doug is out to lunch AI will be in charge. But Doug will still get his bonuses. No health insurance, benefits or hourly rate for AI, bring him on.

There is nothing nice about working for a company for 25 years and being laid off. Before I forget a store or stores can be made to look like they under preform. Thats trying to look good for corporate. By the way corporate will be downsized. No more long term careers at walmart unless your related.

- Stores with high shrink or in riot/theft prone areas will be converted to OGP and eCommerce pick up sites
- Store associates will get a re-leveling pay increase.
- More self checkout.
- More asset protection, spiders, lock ups, and active theft protection measures.
- New medical plans for next year (2024).
- Expanded focus on vision, Rx, HBA, vaccination, nurse and health services.
- Return to basic hiring minimum qualifications.
- Revised point system.
