Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

This needs to be said more often

Understand that those in corporate are not all executives. Many are low-mid level workers that have family to support as well. Some are also the sole providers. So just because they're in corporate, them losing their jobs are every bit as hard as the retail workers. The only ones that will ever walk away with money in their pocket are c suite level because they have a "golden parachute".

@isj+1l6Neqsz is 100 percent right. The management loves it when we fight among each other instead of turning all our anger where it belongs: on them.

Corporate is who got the company in this situation in the first place. Zero sympathy for that lack of leadership and the negativity you’ve bestowed on the rank and file employees. I left in 2021 knowing this s***storm was coming. The ship is going down. There’s no severance for store level employees anymore. Get out while you can. This company is 100% gone by Q3. If you believe BBB will survive, I’ve got some ocean front property in Arizona I’d like to sell you.

You'll have a hard time convincing any past or present BBBY employees that the C suite cares about them. And no, we are not referring to workers at corporate, but leadership. Nothing like emailing people to complain about sales when there is nothing new to sell.

The leaders at corporate are doing the very best they can in this situation. Their number one priority is the store employees. Nobody cares more about the store employees than corporate!

Corporate is still getting severance whereas the store associates are getting nothing. I feel more sympathy for the people being left with nothing.

It does not to be said to anyone who understands how companies work. When people are venting about “corporate” they are talking about the decision makers who only look at for each other and sh1t on the rest of us and tell us we have to increase our performance without the tools necessary then kick us to the curb. Nothing they will do will stop the inevitable, we know it and they know it. They have no reason to care about us. Watch what happens over the next couple of weeks as liquidation stores become non operational as people leave. It will be a circus….perfect for this company run by clowns.
