What a shame for the folks in East Palestine, who attended a town meeting with VP Wilson answering questions and apologizing for the accident, alongside a word salad of gov’t reps. “We are sorry. We feel really bad. We are going to do the right thing, etc. Resident of East Palestine : Is NS going to relocate the people who have lost everything ? Wilson : “That has not been discussed”. How do the executives sleep at night knowing they have destroyed a community, environment, ecosystem etc without stepping up to the plate and doing the right thing by these people ? It’s shameful.

The company is just in damage control now. In a month or two it wont be in the news and people will forget about it. Thats when the cheap low ball offers will be made. Also, there are people who live even ten miles away saying that they were effected, these are sc-m bags who see money to be had.

What is going to happen to all the local Amish farms, farmers markets, agricultural businesses, and other local businesses near the crash site ? Will they be made whole ? People will no longer want to patronize this area due to the tainted food supply. What will NS do to make these people whole ? The company said they would do the right thing for the town, but so far no mention of the collateral damage….which could far exceed everything else.

The carman at my terminal slept a good 9 hours last night. The only time he woke up was because of sleep apnea

After the government gets involved, NS is gonna hire more people and they’re gonna like it. The faux inspection days are over. The wreck just proves that psr is a ticking time bo-b way to run a railroad.

Uh oh. Looks like the precious psr operating ratio is going to take a serious hit, and be spiraling out of control in an upward fashion ! And this isn’t going to look good on the annual report either. “Due to unknown costs pertaining to ongoing litigation….etc etc….” Might even be a major hiring session across most crafts if additional safety and compliance are mandated. Problem is : Who wants to work on the railroad ? And who is qualified to manage an actual class one railroad ? Certainly not the psr cost reduction bean counters.

Bet me they just get a bunch of slap on the
wrists? When is the last time you ever saw someone held responsible for anything they did wrong that wasn’t in the middle or lower class? Wake up.

This undoubtedly has to be the end of Norfolk Southern. There is no way in my opinion they could ever move forward from this. The lawsuits will be in the billions that I'm thinking they'll need to sell out.

It was inspected at rockport yard, cleveland oh. by the very experienced car dept. I know personally that all those ace mechanics were hired through nepotism. Thats what you get when daddy knows the senior general foreman. They are all hot shots on smart phones but cant tell you what a wrench is for. The chickens come home to roost.
