'Quiet quitting' ratio

Given that morale is on the floor, it is not surprising that there are more and more people who decide to do only the bare minimum. I think the ratio is maybe 2 hard workers versus 8 of those who no longer care whether they will keep or lose their job and accordingly put in almost no effort.
Maybe that ratio is even greater in favor of quiet quitters...

In our part of the world, the company used to give the production workers a leg of christmas ham at Christmas time. Wasn't expensive, about $40 per person? The fun part was that the ham came in a pallet, driven in by forklift and the plant manager who was loved by all would give them out. The company forced this to stop. So everything fell to sh-t later. Plant manager left because of the frustration. Employees who have been there for 25-30 years left or chose to retire as soon as they could. The place is now full of casual workers with no experience, nor skill, causing quality to slip as well as they didn't care if they saw something that was wrong before packaging.

Even the good ones in the main office who did not quiet quit are now quiet quitting. These are the ones in our country with exceptional ratings and are self-driven. I fear it is too late unless something drastic happens, like a new CEO and new EC.

This is true. One of my coworkers log in to system in morning, before lunch then around 5 p.m. Looks like side hussel has became main job for that coworker.

Definitely feeling all of the above comments! Management should never run a company in a way that makes employees chose quiet quitting. The inspiration, 🔥 in the soul to do 110% is gone with current management at the top. Lots of ra ra ra, but all hat and no cattle.

whoever wrote this post below, may i shake your hand and say you probably speak for the entire production workforce, i honestly liked my job up until around five years ago and the place has just gone to $hit, when they take away a small yearly incentive bonus at christmas you know things have gone ti-s up , yes it is true you are a number if you get on with your manager, but in the most cases you are a decimel or a fraction of a decimel,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I know for a fact most in MSD are sitting at home doing only what they have to and collecting a paycheck and happily admit it. Cheating the system why are they still on the payroll if 3M is doing so poorly? Management can’t not know.

It’s bad, in Decatur we are lucky if it’s 1 out of 10. On top of that people have started to realize that management and supervision don’t even know what the people they manage are supposed to be doing.
