Currently working for XBS and applied for a new XBS role and the recruiter who called me back sounded just like a scam call. It turned out to be legit(ish) but if I was a fresh fish out job hunting I would have hung up so fast.

Recruitment is a complete Joke
Yes, they have outsourced the recruiter position, and just like anything else with HCL, our two experiences with it so far have been a complete dumpster fire. In once instance, the HCL gave us a heads up and notified us of an interviewee coming in 5 minutes before the scheduled interview time, and they failed to inform the candidate beforehand that the location of the position was an hour and 30 minutes from where they lived.
Yes same here, almost didn’t answer due to “possible scam” on screen. It looks like HCL has this duty now , pre screening questions and verification of what you said on application. I had questions of my own to verify call, if you hang up or don’t answer might not go to next level
Pretty sure they've outsourced that position as well.
