I'm just wondering how many layoffs happen that haven't been announced, which seem to be happening behind the scenes, as some write here.

United Kingdom will be hit with several hundred job losses, the plants have to undertake negotiations for several weeks and won't be announced until resolved talks determines final numbers

RW plant on a hiring freeze yet jobs are posted and giving out $1500 referral bonus to hires or temps. Lol?
RW plant cut 6 jobs quietly. Cuts were allowed to transition to different roles. 1 payroll, 1 cycle count, 1 waste removal, 1 maintenance, 2 material handlers. Still no official announcements. Only word of mouth from the people who were cut.

Here we are on the brink of more layoffs in sales marketing business roles and no info whatsoever…sad!!
Other than in local media (home town radio station / newspaper) I've never seen 3M give any specifics about layoffs at a site (numbers, function, etc.).
I retired late last year, after 40+ years with 3M.
I have heard the USAC area teams have a restructuring coming. That should add to the under the radar numbers.
I can confirm 87 in Hutchinson plus 9 salary.
80-90 in Hutchinson so far.
Supposedly 120 in Decatur previously, but I've been unable to verify.
According to the local radio station web site, 43 production layoffs at Nevada Missouri.
Menominee had about 40-50 operators laid off this week. That’s the only one I have heard of for manufacturing this week.
