Be glad you were part of the lay off, the people left behind will have more of a challenge. With hiring freezes, there are no backfills and with over 30 people accepting the voluntary separation package in the Sourcing area alone and people continuing to exit the organization …it will be hard to show any results. Maybe the consultants that they are bringing in this year will just outsource the whole Sourcing organization? Make the same mistake Best Buy did years ago. Still insane that 3M paid Alix partners millions of dollars for consulting in 2022 but gained so savings.

Are you one of the ‘lifers’ that is not quite at retirement age, that they want to replace with someone cheaper? Possibly one of the NON-manufacturing layoffs that 3M DIDN’T announce but is quietly doing behind the scenes?
