See how much GM will charge you to replace the battery pack once the car is out of warranty.

If I can’t get to visit my family over 300+ miles away then I’m not in the market for an EV.

The EV version of a vehicle is always much more expensive than the ICE version because the battery is very expensive.

  1. Reducing vehicle complexity

How is that achieved when GM engineering groups work in silos? Ask for cooperation and you are quickly told, "that will not be possible". Beyond that, suppliers drive the end content and complexity is money in the bank for suppliers.

  1. Expanding the use of shared subsystems between ICE (internal combustion engine) and EV.

Without getting into the engineering & manufacturing challenges (which are immense), I'll just ask this:
How will GM justify charging much more for the EV version of the same car?
If regular people aren't interested in EVs, it seems like a good question.
