The rumors around a May layoff have plummeted

Happened to notice that the rumors of a May layoff have dropped on on several forums, which is positive. Was it much ado about nothing?

Nearly all these threads on this site are "much ado about nothing". The time when there are actual layoffs only fuels the people who post weekly. It makes them feel better to be right every once in a while though the situation, in reality, is terrible for those impacted.

Early reports are that sales are up, inflation is easing, stock rebounds, strong direction for the next FY; don’t expect any drastic changes as leadership assess the results of prior efforts.
