Given the current circumstances, I believe it would be best for a lot of us to leave this place as soon as possible. It seems that job security is becoming increasingly uncertain for everyone, and this is affecting both mood and motivation - and not in a good way. It's probably best for us to start making plans to move on to new opportunities. It's important to take action sooner rather than later to ensure that we can both maintain our financial stability and emotional well-being. That's just my opinion, though.

Has anybody heard how many employees have been laid off in the Santa Rosa campus?
It was a poor example of a meritocracy before all the DEI initiatives. It has only become worse in my view.
I left Medtronic in 2022 and I’m happy to say that there is life after MDT. My two cents is that the company walked away from what made it great —the design and manufacture of great products backed up by world-class field support. That winning formula worked for decades and persisted through many leadership changes, but was replaced a few years back by a handful of nebulous ideas thrown half-hazardly together and called “strategy”. I hope the Medtronic board of directors has the character and insight to plot a different course.
Leave and go where ? The market is not flooded with jobs. No harm in looking out, but this is a rough market to move into something new.
Agreed. Geoff, step down already.
Agreed, Carol knew about the upcoming mess and left at the right time.
Geoff, please step down
Stfu about “equity hires.” They don’t make up a meaningful amount of hires, and nobody is trying to replace you with someone of a different ethnicity or gender. More likely you’ll be replaced for your terrible attitude and whining.
RE: ‘ I am fed up with the toxicity of management. I am sick of the chosen "equity" people being handed prized positions they didn't earn and are not the most qualified for. ‘
We see your posts on all the chats. You’re just entitled and jealous. Go away. Post your hate elsewhere.
I agree, it’s sad at what has been happening and the moral of so many is very low. Remember it’s not a prison. There are no bars holding you in. You are free to leave whenever you want.
I have come to the same conclusion.
I am fed up with the toxicity of management. I am sick of the chosen "equity" people being handed prized positions they didn't earn and are not the most qualified for. I am fed up with the long time people who don't help or are actively hostile towards other functional groups in their same ORG.
This company is sick and all it's Sally Saba / Geoff Martha virtue signaling on Twitter and LinkedIn don't hide that fact. Let's remind Geoff and Sally that there is more to culture and organizational health than hiring less qualified token employees to be gifted positions of power.
