Large groups of people at B5 AND B21, were summoned to conference rooms to let them know their positions at GA-asi were eliminated, sad day for those affected , including myself after 17 years and a half, felt like a bad dream and a joke at firts but no. It was Reality. Best of luck for those who stayed.

Upper management lying through their teeth
Since last year around 2,000 people have been laid off, around 400 last month and I believe another batch before the end of the year buyer beware chew you up and sp-t you out
It’s not just the layoff that has people thinking that this company has gone downhill. They took away people’s desks phones and computers. They also took away people’s desks who worked remotely, only to tell them that they have to start coming back into the office in May and scheduling a spot in a shared community cubicle. Talk about adding insult to injury and kicking down morale. Of course, the Christmas party keeps getting better as well … from RB Inn to Del Mar to a GA Warehouse with rented porta potties and cafeteria food. Let’s just not have a party this year. I would rather the money go to hiring more employees so you don’t continue to burn the survivors out the door.
The 60 days severance is part of the WARN act. That is why they are technically employees in the system until 6/5. I heard that folks also got a week of pay per year of service, but the 60 days severance was the 60 day notice required by the WARN act.
Are there any guidelines at GA layoffs? Departments, skills or specific jobs?? Office, research, assembly line? Entry level, mid management etc? Lower paying, salaried or
management level. Any further info would help. Have laid off workers been notified?
This layoff wasn't on the WARN Act list. I couldn't find it.

This really sucks. People leaving, getting laid off, and sadly...taking their own lives.
What happened to our great company?
Unfortunately after 19 years of service I was one of the 400+ that was let go.
I don’t think G.A. will servive if they don’t keep up with technology and get new contracts. employees are literally showing up with nothing to do ,long miserable days, i see more lay offs in the near future management and engineering more likely will get hit next
Good luck to everyone ✌🏻
Exactly the same thing in August 2019. 630 people gone.
In San Diego no news every time you ask about layoffs management denied it, until it happened 4-5-2023. It was handle very poorly and not even a apologetic speech or a supportive speech or thanks for those who work 10, 15, 20+ years supervisors were very irreverent and disconnected Not even a handshake for loyal workers more over escorting you to retrieve your personal property from lockers like if you were a stranger.
Did they say why this happen? Prayers for all affected.
I am currently at the desert facility, I truly am sorry to see this happen to you guys because it happened out here in 2020 as you know. We heard the speech from the VP as to why this happened, hopefully you will find gainful employment soo.
memo from Linden Blue says there is severance, benefits continuation and outplacement assistance
memo from Linden Blue said there is severance
Any news on the severance?
Some people have been in denial for the last 2 years and now it's a reality. There are so many postings of no lay-offs, future is bright, work is solid, etc.. until you're on the list.
Prayers to those who got laid off. Someone told me it was about 450. I am just hoping it ended today and myself and the rest are safe.
layoffs happen. the biggest companies in the world are laying people off. i did not get laid off today at GA. however, i know people who did get laid off and it is heartbreaking. please be kind in your comments. i have no idea if this company has a future or not. there are hard times at every company.
No loyalty lead 19 years bye!
I just got laid off as well. I knew something was coming based off the data we were running but couldn't tell my friends much since i didn't know facts but it still hurts.
No future because of layoffs? Hmm, lots of aerospace companies have had layoffs and still doing just fine.
I get the GA may be going downhill and lots of things are wrong at GA, but layoffs hurt and my best wishes to those affected.
Times are already difficult as is.
The layoff is true. I received the phone call today, just 1 hour ago. I see no future for this company. Even before the layoff, they couldn't retain any Technicians, many were leaving for other companies who offered more pay.
No disrespect, but for whomever posted, "420", is that a joke? I hope it is...
If not, prayers and well wishes for those being layed off.
420 people
Actually -- they're on the phones telling people there is no layoff ever at GA LOL
Anytime there is a layoff, HR is no where to be found.
