They are having break fix CE’s do the installs now. When CE’s are shifted to installs it leaves the field short handed to make customer SLA’s. Then they ask (demand) for more OT to make up for the lack of techs then complain about high LOCA.
So I heard yesterday they let the guy go who used to run the installer team. They screwed the installers last year, dissolved his whole team, let my TM go, and sent us back to the break fix TM's. He stayed and oversaw all installation. I thought putting us under break fix was stupid, almost a year later they still don't understand what we really do, and now they have let the one member of management who actually knew SCO Installation go. This place is going downhill and fast.
Yup depending on job 2 or 3 Serb to 1 swap. india was before was 4 to 1.
Correct, they can replace each US worker with multiple bosnians/serbians. Our dept went from 20 US employees in 2017 to 8 US employees and 50 bosnians in 2022.
For each employee fired in the US 3 are hired in Serbia . They didn’t build a new building there for no reason. Soon it will be the new GHQ with very few employees left in the US. Maybe just field engineers.
NCR is an employee focused company, they just said it on All hands call.
It’s a Play on words. It’s like having a target on your back , and they’re focusing in on you.
Why post so vaguely on a company with 37k employees???
As yourself this. In 2016 I was part of a rif. 28k employees I believe were employed. They were laying off every year before and after. How does a company cry we’re losing money and need to cut back, build a 100 million dollar building in Serbia and have more people now than they had in the past 20 years?
Under normal circumstances I would not ask to be part of the RIF. But this is NCR and definitely not normal. I hope my name is part of the RIF. Management can say whatever they want but when a company goes through a transition there are always layoffs. Aggressively looking for another job and want out of here before this 2 company initiative happens.
Sad part is the wring people are catching the RIF. Chris H needs to go because he just doesn’t understand the business yet he is making big bucks

Manager will tell you your job is safe and business as usual, then they RIF you and wipe your name and you disappear.
