Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

More to come!

As a ce we had a territory meeting explaining the downsizing of territories. And no more generalist will exist after June. But no job cuts we are hiring more ppl. How can a company gain shareholder value with more verbenas expenses such as more ppl! Also no more clone calls as Walmart to keep busy in slow time! I feel they want productivity down to see how many they can cut! I feel it’s a glamour show to make us feel comfortable! I think it ends in disaster for CEs

Lost some more CE’s recently, not sure how they plan to split and maintain service levels when they are not over hiring to prepare, they can’t even keep their headcount as it stands today.

I don’t believe one minute they are hiring! I think they are gonna run lean as they can split it see what and who they need. Make areas bigger with more miles to run. Was already told slas and metrics will be completely changed. I feel contractors will come in to play WM already is disputing call volume since NCR of course is trying to go up on them! Why clones can’t be ran in my area!

My advice if you can leave, if you can’t leave, lie to your boss and kiss bu-t, it’s not your skills that save your job, it’s who you know in management, tattle tales also seem to be saved. If your close to retirement try to get laid off, take a package and unemployment if your finances allow it

Allegedly the split will be based on what call types a CE closes most. If a generalist CE closes mostly Financial calls that is where they end up.

Any idea what is going on with Macys coverage in Retail area? The legacy CEs from what I’ve heard either are making too much to stay in retail side and might have to move to Financial company or will be let go. Has anyone else heard of this? Either true or my TM is only doing this in my area.

Same has been said in our areas . One would think the hiring would begin now in preparation for the separation so that neither side will be short on CE’s.
Unfortunately NCR track record is to run lean and rely on additional OT to make up for lack of technicians. They will find out in short order demanding more hours from even less staff will lead to many resignation notices.
