Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

>200 Jobs Eliminated in March 30th Reduction in Force

Pay Attention to this comment from Post ID: @ets+1lU20oRs

It's been 5 years since Avaya was able to let go 200 people in ONE Day and NOT have to file an 8k with the SEC making the Reduction in Force Public

See Comment Below:
Correct. Avaya is now private. No longer obligated to "file" a layoff with the SEC. They can do what they want when they want, primarily in the US as other countries have rules and guardrails, as long as they stay under 50 in any one state. This can become a regular occurrence.

Yes, Good Spreadsheets MATTER

Look, it’s all over. Company is desperate to find a buyer for the parts it can sell. Will cut to the bone to make itself look attractive to potential buyers. This is about the deal and not about new products it can’t possibly fund.

Within 6 months a big chunk will have been sliced off and sold. UC and CC will have separated and services bundled for highest bidder.

Will be no press.

  • NO SEC Obligation= No 8k Disclosure
  • <50 impacted in any state within 45 days --- Not required to file WARN Act Papers

All layoffs in US/North America moving forward will be very quiet. Canada will require some rules be followed, yet reporting to public is not required

That's why sh-t show clowns like selfie tree trunk bow legs will remain as they have less than 10 (maybe 5) employees in that state. They need to focus on other states that they need to slowly break down over time while staying under 50 at a time

Before it was taken private by TPG and Silver Lake in 2007, Avaya was in the S&P 500. Now we're in a dumpster.

Remember when Avaya had 20k plus employees and staff had a positive outlook? Well it’s all over now 2k by year end and dropping.
