Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

There is life on the outside

Of course I understand everyone's concern for losing their job, however, life really is much better outside of this place.
I don't know anyone who hasn't found a better job after Avaya.
It's never easy to lose your job but would anyone really want to stay much longer in this joke of a company? - Pretty sure not many of you would.

We all notice the imbalance of those who were impacted vs those who remain.
There is a clear theme. And it is a huge compliment to those impacted. You had skills. You have experience. You have significant value. Don't let the imbalance drive you nuts, especially when you see clowns who remain. They remain because they don't have the same skills. They remain because of lower salaries. They remain because skills and talent are not what Avaya needs in the rank and file. They remain as they are inconsequential to hiring of CEO friends. They need your salaries and to free up the mid to top level talent so CEO friends can begin. Ignore the clowns. Take pride in that you are of talent. Not rank and file.

Leaving Avaya is like leaving a cult led by person with a GED who declared themselves to be a PhD.
Upside-down logic. Hierarchy based on bizarre unwritten rules, not based on talent, intellect or real experience. Outside of Avaya you actually see that logic, talent, training and real experience is not only required, but recognized. Inside Avaya people like selfie clown are allowed to behave like they are some sort of thought provoking intellect who is about to publish a book on wisdom. Outside of Avaya real talent actually earn real respect from real clients (not channel partners who play along just so they can keep collecting their marketing dollars).

The industry has about had it with Avaya milking millions upon millions from employees, partners and distributors. Leaving Avaya is like leaving a bad relationship, stopping smoking, drinking or dr-gs. You will feel better, sleep better, live longer and be happy without the stress. It’s a new life!
