Can you get laid off while on FMLA or STD? Specifically, can they send you a WARN notice while you are out on leave, and when would that 60 day clock start ticking? Thanks.

Looks like they are not going to layoff anyone before the April 21st PTO expiration from the prior year to save them a buck. I suspect a full announcement after the 21st but will be done when Q4 closes by the end of April. Shady tactics these executives are playing not paying out your PTO until it expires to save a few dollars. Really pinching pennies. For those saving your PTO to cash out, I think at this point we have no choice to use it. Why lose it if they are not going to pay it out to us.
You can be laid off on fmla, but the legal situation is a little sketchy so most employers would try not to do it.
Someone in the prior post explained this. You cannot be laid off bc you are FMLA-ing (aka bc your personal situation leads to their determination to let you go), but you can be laid off during FMLA (bc biz decided so).
