There’s no free coffee and no sandwiches during lunch and learns.
They make us show up to work.
There are no spas or breakfast bars.
They have it out for us!

Those who know won't post, and those who post don't know.

You can speculate all you want, but if you want to know what'll "really" happen you'll just have to wait and see.

b/c auto engineering is very specialized work - they know they can't outsource it to India. It's been done and it didn't work out.
Engineering staff numbers have been brought down to low levels years many ago. As people leave, they usually aren't replaced.
There was no explosive growth in engineering staff like IT experienced during the plandemic.
Take it for FWIW; it's not speculation.
Now, none of this means mgt won't cut engineering. They might; but in doing so will destroy their ability to create new products and stay competitive.

Axe NEVER falls in Engineering. Because MTB is an old school engineer. Which is why we have problems. Complexity Reduction will never happen. Need to have 36 different variations that a customer doesn't even care about, because "marketing" said it will sell 500 more units.

Heard from numerous Executive Directors that the take rate of the VSP was more than leadership expected. Does this mean that ISP won’t happen?
