Actually I should have said make sure u don’t get a severance check before 30 days. Sign agreement as late as possible

Word to the wise. Make sure u don’t sign severance agreement until at least a month after last day. If u sign it before ny can deny u unemployment for now . Read up on it. I think ny counts the severance as still being employed and they don’t give u benefits until much later and by that time u will probably have a new job. It is a fairly new law
