Does anyone know if you have the ability to "opt-in" to the VERP? I know it will vary by OU / function, but I'm curious if it can be done and if so who to reach out to. The obvious choice, is my manager, but our group hasn't had one in a couple months. Been an employee for a decade and am thinking I'm ready for change of scenery . Would like to get some additional compensation out of it.

if you got a VERP letter and didnt opt in, you are out of luck the deadline is passed. if you did not get a VERP offer you weren't eligible anyway.
You could ask to be laid off
If you missed the VERP date there is no opt in option.
