Your story sounds great but if Impika made money it would still be around.

Impika, it was a profitable ink jet printer for us at Xerox. Off of several print lines (2) we ran 100,000,000 pages a month. that was 100 million pages a Month. Top print volume on two lines was 110 million Pages. The customer spent more them $100,000.00 just to get the room ready for one print line. Install time was three to six months. The customer had to buy the Impika first then all the output and input devices. Total cost was 6 million that was $6,000,000.00 Dollars per line. believe it or not. Our training was a couple of weeks in France you know that place across the ocean. We had many pre-req. classes, the Impika had an IPrint controller, variable page data beast. When it went Live it was crazy, the company (not Xerox) hired a band and invited thousands of their employees to view it and watch it work while having a great meal. Most Xerox employees will never see a printer like this, it ran a Pallet of paper in 30 mins. About 20 pages a second. We lost this account, and the added income it generated. Some say it generated $100,000+ a month in profits. I think I will check out Kyocera.
