I should know...I was escorted out this morning.

Didn’t Viasat say that right sizing in about a year?
This writing has been on the wall for a year. Overpay for Inmarsat, then sign up to expand jobs and R&D budgets in the UK in feverish pursuit of an ineffective deal. This can't be the end of it given the obligation for dollars to flow into the UK now. Mark and Rick chased a questionable deal and are leveraging us to fund it.

Same here. Laid off via the Slack from Viasat. Viasat talks so much about company's culture, but they are like everybody else.
Arizona. Laid off this morning. Severance 14 weeks. Been with company for more than 6 years.
Not letting this get me down. They need me more than I need them.
Best of luck to everyone!
Layoffs on the Govt side today, looks like company wide. 4% doesn't seem like enough based on Viasat's financial woes. More coming?
Heard 4% layoffs and the severance from one I know amounted to about 7 weeks for someone who's been with the company for 10+ years. Hoping they misunderstood and it's actually more severance because that seems really low.
Any severance mentioned? Anyone know of what departments got hit?
What's the severance like?
A teammate got let go over the phone and was immediately locked out. Told to send their laptop and badge back.
They called me and told me over the phone. Cowards. Better part of my life was working for ViaSat and the way they did this just stinks.
Yep. Got laid off via Slack Huddle today
Any severance?
I was let go over the phone… they couldn’t even look me in the eye over zoom.
Yup, teammate just got let go.
