Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Isp

Any idea on what the isp would look like? I really can't imagine it being so different from the Vsp. As isp's are random and not performance based. That would not be fair

Because I'm 2018-2019, not nearly enough took it. This was supposed to entice people.

Why would ISP look different than VSP??
In 2018-2019, the laid off got the same amount as employees of vsp

Don't forget age/salary.

That'll put you lower in the ranking and more likely to go.

Why do you think the layoff list will be random?

Even though you don't know how they created the list, they had reasons for doing what they did. They didn't flip a coin.

If I had to guess, they had every first line manager stack rank their team. Which was driven by a mixture of employee performance and popularity.

Then the higher level managers and executives decided what percentage of each group to get rid of. 10% of Group A, 20% of Group B, etc.

What do you mean it won’t be different? ISP folks will not get up to 1 year of pay or bonus or healthcare. They will be shown the door with barely 2 to 4 weeks of pay that to after they sign non disclosure and waiver to not sue the company.
