Undeserved promotions have really set this place back over the past few years and the best quality employees are left feeling undervalued.

Bigots must be happy to see someone of "correct" age and gender FW director, and hundreads of the "wrong" age and gender laid off from WD.
Lets be honest: many people contribute results exceeding their incomes. Replacing unproductive people saves money. Only bigots think specific races, genders, religions, or age groups are unproductive. Sucks people are disagreeing.
Agree with the title!!
How come that EE that were contractors, became manager, after few months Directors or even Sr. Dir..
While other employees busting their a-s and don't get promoted for years..
@2pnu+1lN8F7xZ older employees = walking cost saving targets
In late 2022 WD leaders asked a specific group at WD to resign. When not enough resigned, they were targeted with layoffs. Legal had them to sign away their right to sue to get their severance.
Sad that people on this board are suggesting 2023 focused reductions are restitution for a 2019 lawsuit. The 2019 lawsuit provided the restitution that was due. The continued targeted reductions are just bigotry.
Undeserved and tap on the shoulder promotions have long been a controversial practice that eventually led to a lawsuit WD lost. It seems little has been done by legal or HR to ensure the practice stopped because leadership favorites are promoted or appear in new roles seemingly without a job posting or fair consideration of equally qualified candidates.
Who got promoted?
