Those were the days. A caboose with a couple attentive men to smell problems before they arose. I have no doubt in my mind this would have prevented the ohio calamity. With all the money they are going to spend on reparations,they could have funded cabooses on all trains for years and years.
an eot can't smell a thing either
Bring back the caboose. It might be a surprise to the FRA but an EOT device can't see down the side of a train.
Safety training? They need more car inspectors
