Resignation & A-Plan Question

Hey Everyone. I am going to put in my two week notice next Monday.

I have not been with GM long enough to participate in the VSP.

Question, if I generate an employee A-Plan PIN before my last day - are there any caveats to using it?

I've scoured the A-Plan info on Socrates and one line stands out for me. Something like, the participant must remain eligible throughout the entire process (including delivery of vehicle).

I'm thinking that means I could generate the PIN, and buy an existing vehicle from a lot. But if I tried to special order one, it would not be delivered by the end of my two weeks - and therefore I wouldn't be 'eligible'.

What do you think? Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks

I was the OP for this topic. Been with the company about 6 months. I was not trolling or trying to start anything. Afterwards I figured it was probably people annoyed at the thought of people encouraging the purchase of GM vehicles when employees may lose their jobs. I get it. I have a family member that I would have used the discount for.

Genuinely had no idea what the employee discount was called. Was surprised to see so many people upset by the misuse of 'A Plan'.

If anyone ever wants to know the answer - I called the hotline to ask the question directly. And yes, you to have to be 'eligible' the entire time - as long as the transaction is complete before your last day.

I wont be surprised if this gets shredded. Mods, if you're reading this - I'm just closing the loop to an unanswered question.

This is a Bull post.
GM doesn't have a A-Plan.. Ford does.
Socrates wouldn't list A-Plan...doesn't exist

Why would you want to buy a GM vehicle?

Just make sure you already have something lined up. if you get laid off you would get severance.
