I'm really exhausted and I think it's time for me to get out of this place. How much has working at 3M affected your health?

20 year Employee. Both as an Operator and Leadership. Every year in leadership, my stress, blood pressure, anxiety, and overall quality of the life has be affected negatively. I have had my first panic attack as a 3M Leader that many more have followed. I'm currently taking something for depression and anxiety, and I have a great home life so the stress isn't coming from home. Every day before work, I have a sickness in my stomach before I start knowing what I'm driving into. I've talked to multiple EAPs within 3M who've said I may just have to quit. I'm hardheaded and don't want to restart my career but I also don't want to have a stroke or heart attack in my office. Yes...this is my fault. I drive into 3M everyday...but should a work environment drive you to this? We aren't working in the Corrections Department for a State Pen...but it feels like it at times!
The best option is to shake off the dust from your feet and leave 3M; never looking back.
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
My financial health has improved significantly since i was inducted to the upper echelons of the company.
Our area has lost quite a few to finding other jobs with better work environment and reasons were exhausted and pain from working ot everyday. Injuries gallore. A majority are doing bare minimum due to no incentives or appreciation from management. Management just doesn't know how to motivate or problem solve with personable skills. The Peter Principle is real at 3M.
mental health is a millenium joke, you can strengthen your mind working harder for 3m, stop feeling sorry for yourself and plan your day , one day at a time, shift by shift, do the best you can each day and stop snowflaking out, seen it so many times, yes we all have off days but flips sake no reason to think your mentally ill, make changes to your life, stop drinking, smoking , be healthier, carpe diem, take control and make each day a mountain you will climb
It is well known toxicity and stress will make you sick. Do not wait for 3M to change. I have been with 3M for almost 15 years and know this is a company who does not pay attention to the mental health of its employees.
won't even give you the best P.P.E. If there is a way to cut corners and save a few lousy bucks your boss will do it
Huge impact! It's times like this that show how a company truly values their employees, so pay attention!
