The exact polar opposite of what we have today. Emphasis on "polar opposite." A good example of using Science. Applied to life.

Someone who doesn’t tolerate a misogynistic CFO
Someone who could explain a complicated topic so that a golden retriever could understand.
Some suggested requirements:
- Has grown a business from the start.
- Has had failures, and kept on going.
- Courage
- Strong grasp of intellectual property and the value of R&D. 3M is supposed to be innovative enterprise. IP and R&D should be an integral part of the business.
- Has solved major sales, mfg or technical issues to achieve success.
- Does not jump from promotion to promotion before results/accountability delivered on the last position.
- Has read the 10 Day MBA, meaning she understands finance.
Our chief science officer does not have a technical degree or experience, yet we are still in business.
That being said, we need someone with a major in Gender Studies and a minor in avant-garde dance.
DEI initiates have got us here, so this will attract under represented candidates to back fill those deplorable eliminated by our aggressive accelerated attrition war.
Someone who doesn’t rely on millennial children as guideposts for action.
Someone who knows we are winning.
Someone excited about the future.
Integrity.
My requirements would be for someone who:
- Has actually grown a business organically, preferably a business from scratch.
- Has never been a GE employee, ever.
- Has enough spine to properly tell Wall Street what to do to themselves.
- Has worked in at least two of the three main 3M functions (Mktg/Sales, Mfg/Supply Chain, R&D), preferably all three.
- Actually understands economics. (But finance geeks/bean-counters need not apply.)
Someone who doesn't need the Defense Production Act to be invoked to manage supply chain.
Above room temperature IQ.
A CEO with a spine, one who will stand up even to the Federal Government. A CEO that hires the best, not based on the color of their skin, but based on the content of their job performance and work ethic. A CEO that has a true sense of what ethical means. Is market share an excuse to ignore China's slave powered industry. It's important that a CEO understands the greatness of the United States of America. One with the strength to push back against unconstitutional ESG policies. Lastly, someone honest.
Someone who understands R&D, the role of good technology and manufacturing and the historical reasons why 3M had been so successful (till about 2018 or so).
Wear a tie. The "casual" no tie with jacket looks d-mb and is a phony gesture.
Anyone not associated with GE.
