VSP Unemployment

Do I qualify for Michigan unemployment if I go with the VSP? Also, when can I start collecting unemployment? Right away or I have to wait for a number of months.

If you want money you shouldn't have, bank with SVB and put more than the FDIC limit in the account

My car was repossessed. When does the bank send me a check? It’s a $60,000 car and I could use the money.

Unemployment are only 20 weeks maximum. Which is FAR less than the VSP package. When laid off, you can only file/claim unemployment benefits AFTER your severance package is fully paid out

Speaking from experience. Not sure if better changes as result of covid??

Those who took the VSP package in 2018 were not eligible for layoff benefits. Those who were involuntarily separated from the company in 2019 were eligible for layoff benefits.

VSP = VOLUNTARY SEPARATION
If you quit, you get NO UNEMPLOYMENT!
I can't even imagine why someone would think they are entitled to unemployment after they quit.
