Seagate chatter about pausing their employee survey brings to mind the actions of Western Digital, who also appear to have abandoned their own survey once it started to raise some uncomfortable questions. It's all rather disappointing, really. The purpose of these surveys is to gain insights into employee engagement and cultural understanding, with the goal of making improvements for the betterment of everyone.
It's truly disappointing that when companies don't see the value in listening to their employees and making improvements based on their feedback. But hey, why bother with all that when you can just stop the surveys and ignore the concerns of your workforce. After all, that's such a sustainable approach, isn't it? Maybe we should just lower our expectations and be happy with the status quo.
