At our store meeting, associates were told that credit and email goals must be met or corrective action will be taken. I am shocked. Can Belk write us up for not meeting these goals even if we are trying our best to get them? Is this happening at your store?

They have no way to know whether you are getting app downloads. They are not linked to any specific associate.
Yea unfortunately they can write you up for credit and email performance. But it takes a while(weeks to months) to build a strong case. For example if you’re part time, you should average at least two per week. Email is a must at 50%. Regardless. But be smart about it and use “fake emails” example “maryjohn23@gmail.com. And switch it up every single time !!!! Stay in the 50-60%s and you’ll be good 😊 app downloads… ummm that’s bs. The new GVP mean girl/ bully Roorryy Annnee is responsible for stores now having to take this extra seriously
Can't I just shop in peace without being hassled about stuff?
Our store is the same way. App downloads, credits and emails are more important than sales. I don't think you can be written up for not getting them, but you can be written up for not asking.
At our store downloads (for belk app) has been added to the list. “Failure to meet daily goals WILL NOT be tolerated. Selling associates (cashiers in reality) are assigned hour long daily “download walks” in order to approach customers throughout the store about downloading the belk.com app.
Is this a new company wide initiative, or j just an isolated thing?
Claim discrimination and belk will bend over backwards to make you happy.
