Thread regarding Emerson Electric Co. layoffs

Let’s chat about LAL and CULTURE

I’m a 20+ year employee, and I’m going to get a few things off my chest.

The Emerson culture needs a change. We have lost a lot of good talent due to a variety of factors, and the culture and lack of upward mobility are key components. However, Lal has a lot of explaining to do regarding his cultural change push. Why did he wait until he was CEO to push this? He ran half of the company as the president of AutoSol, and the culture in that business was terrible. Are you telling me he had no control over that culture? Now he has appointed his tyrannical leaders to run the business into the ground. Is culture really that important to him? Or just to Wall Street?

If the Emerson board really wanted a culture change they would have brought in a CEO from outside.

Just read that somewhere on the net - and I could not agree more:

Culture is how employees' hearts and stomachs feel about Monday morning on Sunday night.

All the ado and show off Emerson does about culture is just hot air.

I would agree the culture needed some change. However, Emerson has gone way too far overboard in the pursuit of a politically correct “woke” culture which is not being accepted by the majority employees. This has resulted in the ousting of the Chief People Officer who never should have been hired to begin with. Emerson needs talent, from all walks of life and diversity and I cousions is important in this regards. More importantly, it needs to prioritize and focus its energy on regaining it’s technical leadership and making technology it’s mantra once again.

I’m one of the many who left, and improved both our paychecks and our work environments.

Lal’s not only a spineless wokester, but even if he could find about 2.5’ of pine to lash to, he would be fighting a woke board inserted by the inbred wokesters at Black Rock, Vanguard and State Street who own vast amounts of Emerson and the companies that have employees sitting on the Emerson board. These are the companies that are pushing these WEF and HRC agendas.

Very impressed with the responses on the board. I can’t disagree with any statement…so far. So glad I’m not alone in my thoughts. The leadership would sell their soul to Wall Street divide and conquer versus provide quality product with quality people. Meritocracy is dead.

Agree 100%!

Emerson is inclusive as long as you think like the woke leadership does! This company is no longer interested in making the best products in the world, it’s all about this ESG BS. I have caught myself laughing at some of this cr-p being rolled out. All of these people mentioned in this thread don’t run anything, they’re all puppets to our majority shareholders BlackRock and Vanguard. So sad to see this once great company go in this direction.

Agree 100%!
Lal, & Ram were major contributors to EMR's culture.
Be sure they still have their planes & will be landing in Augusta this April.
As a 35 yr + veteran of the company, the wokeness is an embarrassment, & I no longer speak of my years at EMR.

They would sell their souls for investor approval.
They would sell our souls for more power and status.

I can only agree with that post. Any line of it.
It is only Wall Street and it will never change.
