Just telling everyone goodbye. My store is officially closed. They took a B+ store in a great location action that did amazing business and over the past 5 years, mainly the last 2, ran it into the dirt. Everyone that managed that store knew how to make it successful and they stole that ability from us. It was so sad to watch it happen. It wasn't store level management that ruined this company. Nor was it lack of customer loyalty. They wanted to be loyal but the a--holes in the ivory tower took away what they were loyal to. It was a bunch of greedy bi--hes and ba----ds that didn't know what they were doing and didn't want to learn. It was micromanagement to a ridiculous level and what we were being told to do made no sense. This is my last rant here. Good luck to those that were let go. And good luck to those staying. Don't stay long though. They are just going to squeeze the last dollars out and walk away and leave you laying in the dirt.

@1yue+1l9oNCuJ You are mistaken , some A and B doors have closed as well b/c landlord wont renew lease b/c they can get a better tenant or the rent was too high . Go back to your Redditt sub .
If the store had a successful team it would still be open. They only close poor performing stores.
Couldn’t have said it better. Shame we went from a great company to a joke
It is NOT just a retail job. It was a tremendous opportunity to serve people and develop talent. I was blessed every day I showed up for work and will remain blessed til the very last day.
Former linens n things employee, trust me, I know the sadness.
Good luck and I hope you move on to something better. I too am in liquidation after 20 years and remember when we did great things and had great people. Unlikely I will stay to sweep up and turn in the keys. Nothing from the company about incentives to ride this sh1t show out. Interviews all week. Wish me luck lol.
To the @sschoke that said it’s just a retail job, get bent. To the OP, good luck…bigger and better things are out there for both of us (I worked in finance in corporate, I was let go last Thursday).
Yes, it’s a retail job but people have pride and cared for their store. Good luck to everyone for all your hard work and dedication.
Best of luck to you. Take care.
I wish you luck!
It’s a retail job, get over it. You’re not out there making a difference
