I've been building these engines for years. It's much easier said than done. Many times I've been contacted for help from foriegn manufacturers. Well the shop is closed. If you think it's so easy to move these processes over seas then do it yourself. You wont get help from me anymore. Good luck. It's over your head comrade.
I'm sure China's already stolen all of hte engines IP so they can copy an engine and build it themselves.
I don't think CHina is going to be mandating anything to NATO countries. Face it, the era of globalization is over. The end isn't looking good either. There is much more at stake here than commercial deals. Just look up in the sky....about 20k feet.
face it, the CHina government will mandate that the chinese airlines only buy from chinese producers. They will then begin to require that other countries accept chinese engines and airframes to sweeten various commercial deals unrelated to aircraft. Eventually Singapore, S Korea, Malaysia and other growing markets will have sizable numbers of china made aircraft, and the US airlines will begin to adopt, assuming China can get the SFC numbers similar to western made aircraft.
We are about to be at wore with china. I wouldn't sell them engines. That's harry Carey. But hey if you can make a buck that's all that matters with some people.
As long as we can succeed in selling the high margin parts to both China and India, GE win's by cutting out our less profitable operations.
China already has the entire playbook of GE. This is going to be a tuff win.
