They paid over $20M to Mike Roman’s college frat buddy’s company last year….Alix partners. Joke was on 3M when they didn’t realize any savings. How much will they pay Kearney this year???

So as someone who’s used the hotline i can tell u it works. So I disagree with one if the views here. For anyone thinking of using it, do so without fear. Its not good to lie about something that works.

These days, NEVER EVER call the 3M so-called ethics line. They will trace your call or electronic submission. Corporate goons will arrive to either get you to recant or perhaps load kiddie po-n on your computer without your knowledge (this is Putins favorite trick to silence dissent) and you will be worse off than ever.

If you are WYW/WFH try to get in naps daily at 3Ms expense and get ready for your next job outside. Just hope the severance is good.

This company is effed

Isn't there an "anonymous" ethics hotline? Anyone want to risk calling it to report this?

Where the ethics and code of conduct. Is it applies just to worker bees?

In all seriousness, I agree that whatever was said on the podcast doesn't seem to be translated in to life in 3M EO. Many emphasis on trust and transparency and removing anxiety, I am experiencing the complete opposite here.

Unbelievable- worth a read. I especially like this part
“Leaders can remove the anxiety
As a leader, Peter brings a calm, even-keeled energy to the teams he works with. “
I have not been with 3M for long but I have never worked for an organisation that has been so paralysed by fear of forthcoming org changes
I also agree with the part on compliance. Did he get paid for this podcast ? I work in sourcing and can’t even go out for a meal with suppliers. Let alone get paid work from them

Isn’t there a conflict of interest here? Hiring a consultancy firm that you subsequently do work for ?

Safety always! He slashed the Safety budgets.

Hey tireman, have another scotch on the rocks for the lowly peons you don't consider to be fixed costs.

Don't see any strategy from Tireman since he took over EO.

The only thing he implemented is SAFETY ALWAYS.

Why is 3M paying 7 figures for Tireman to do podcasts with McKinsey rejects?

How much is this guy getting paid by Kearney for these podcasts?

Worse yet, no transparency about how much 3M has already paid Kearney for McKinsey flunkie advice.

Hey tireman, it's 230 minnesota time. Crack open the scotch if you can't handle being criticism.
