I applied for a job as a Land Admin analyst. What is it like working in Oxy’s Land Admin Department?

@aowt+1l6rT4t2 Oxy keeps hiring because employees keep leaving because Wfh jobs with no stipulations are abundant.
Oxy like all other oil companies are so fat with headcount and needs a good ole fashioned lay-off. Why do they just keep on hiring and the bar is just getting lower and lower and lower. SG&A per barrel needs to be reviewed for this company.
It is so boring, there is nothing to do, so much one landman left to become an spinning instructor. If you are looking for a good place to hide and earn average income, no accountability or pressure, welcome to Occidental Resort Land Village.
Hard work is good for the mind and body as long as you take time to relax. And don’t forget to enjoy the work relationships that your build along the way.
It’s a great team. You’ll love the people and the culture. They have a lot of fun. Talented folks with good camaraderie. There is a ton of work and not enough people though, just be warned. It’ll be hard work.
Not to mention the fun fishing trips, clay shoots, and hunting trips.
It is super nice. We have free coffee.
You may want to ask your question during the interview process. They’ll tell you the truth, even it’s more on the positive aspects than the negative. Asking on this site is just asking for snarky negativity from people who probably don’t know what it’s like in the Land Department.
Why does the company need more people in the land department when they are not developing land?
