I'm asking about the stores that are still open but will most likely be closing soon. Is it already too late to hope we'll get even a reduced package?

Just got off the phone with HR as to why after almost 17 years I’m not getting severance.. I was told in her words “ In this PROJECT” no one is getting severance.. listen to their “forward” thinking and moving forward talk & the words that mean cr-p.. this project?? Really?? She also told me I was “ALLOWED” to work these last 2 weeks..glad I used my sick time in these 2 weeks!!At the end of our conversation I said well I hope when the company goes under that you too shall receive nothing in severance!! The things I could tell you… trucks aren’t coming don’t be deceived..I’ve bled blue all these years for what??
If they do not offer the last 2 waves by tomorrow then there is no chance. It is a d-mb move on their part as it will lead to people leaving early in the process and stores will implode. Since we always make the d-mb decisions I would say that is what they try. As for me I started interviewing this week and will leave keys on the desk as soon as I have an offer.
Those that are closing in these rounds (within 3 months) will likely get a severance. After this, if things don't go well by the summer, I doubt there will be any severance because bankruptcy will be next.
