To the individual who posted “lies no layoffs, I got a retention bonus to stay”…. Back in 2017 I too received a HUGE retention bonus, and 2018 laid off. Just hop onto this site when I think things are “bad” at the current company, and after reading a few posts, will start thanking my lucky stars I am where I am now.

Wishing you all the best…

Well, they are already trying to Gaslight top performers and blame them for the system crashes that caused major accounts to run. They have no shame, or ethics

How do people get lucky enough to find these truths before things happen

There aren’t enough employees left at Corebridge to layoff. Approximately 100 Corebridge employees remain in Houston after layoffs and rebadging to Accenture. It’s a sh-t show and sinking ship at Corebridge. Accenture employees are not catching on during the designated 4 month training period. Peter Z has ran this company into the ground . He doesn’t care. He will ride into the sunset carrying his 100 million dollar bag.

I was told "something" is coming within 2 weeks. What that "something" is, not sure. I am guessing layoffs and re-org. Here's your STI....now GTFO!

AIG believes that the WARN notice does not apply to them when severance packages are offered. PCG is not a layoff as all the employees will be moved to a separate group (Stone Group, LLC). See the announcement today. From a legal point, there is not much in the way of penalties for violating the WARN act anyways. You must be new to AIG.

Heavy layoffs coming? Where’s the WARN notice????????

It’s truly amazing. From my marketing perspective the PCG announcement is not ready. There are literally no talking points for employees or brokers, but PZ has to address PCG losses at the quarterly earnings call this week so PCG employees and brokers will be blindsided so PZ can do a victory lap for stakeholders.

It is a sad display of “leadership”.

Heavy layoffs coming. The management team need to count dollars. If you are staying you are gambling. Just hit the eject button and get out. Managers have been told to demoralize employees without STI and increment so that they the eject on their own. As that saves money for the company to pay management for laying off or demoralizing employees.

There are layoffs happening in the end of March. They were notified last July. Those positions are being outsourced to Accenture India. Many talented Employees are being let go, so AIG/Corebridge can cut expenses. That’s it end of the story. It’s all about expenses for Wall Street. Since company doesn’t know how to increase revenues, they just layoff.

AIG including Corebridge slated to weed out low employees soon. Not labeled a layoff.

The company is planning to take low performers and lay them off for good lots of them this year. PZ wants to meet this year target for Wall Street early than last year. So there will be cannon ba--s all over the place.

It depends on your definition of layoffs. Do you consider entire divisions being rebranded to third party companies layoffs? If so, then layoffs are coming soon. If not, then you are correct no layoffs.

The honorable layoffs of the past that included packages for long time employees are long gone. Selling your employees like cattle is the new layoff. It is much better for the stakeholder.

That is why I am asking- where will this be happening?
Like ID: @1ffs+1l6VlLxU said, in 2021 when there was a peak of layoffs i got a 13% increase to make sure I am not going.
So really depends of your role and if is of any value for them.
Sure we all can be replaced if we are cost departments, but even in cost departments some people are key. I think you guys need to stop living in fear… is just a job

Lies. No layoffs. Top performers received retention pay to stay for the next 1-2 years.

Oh, is it that time of the year already? My job will not be outsorced anytime soon so I'm relaxed (for now). On the contrary I expect that, after years of no pay rise and no hiring, now that PZ has been confirmed for 5years... They'll start hire again like there is no tomorrow. You'll see folks, already seen this many times

If there were to be layoffs, of a significant amount, wouldn’t there be a WARN notice? If you go to their webisite, so many companies have posts - Goldman, Microsoft, Bed, Bath & Beyond, etc. Or, is mgmt laying off an amount which falls under a notification threshold?

The easiest way to answer this question is to ask "can my role be outsourced ? "

If it can, then it probably will be at some point as they start to wrap things up!
