Has anyone heard anything? Does anyone know how long it normally takes after a layoff announcement, when the plants actually find out how many people they’re losing? It’s pathetic that I can actually get a response on here and a more accurate one that emailing anyone in management.

Besides layoff, it is also seen several SVP being downgraded to VP positions. Anyone knows if they will be happy to stay on despite being push down the ranks?
It should not matter on the org, this is corporate policy and legal compliance
I know of multiple layoffs in St, Paul of JG 16+ LVS / Area type mfg leader roles over the past couple weeks. I am noticing a trend of targeting the highest JG's within a function / group. These people are friends and good, capable 3M'ers with long experience with the company and it's painful to see this happening over and over again in 3M, up and down the org chart hierarchy.
Rumors include this week / early next so the individuals are gone by end of month.
Heard some ex-USAC this week.
It really depends on three factors:
- What BG or function you are in
- Regional differences (works councils, etc.)
- Job level
If your biz VP is on the ball, they have probably already decided numbers and places before the official announcement was made in late Jan.
If you are salaried in a non works council country, expect that HR and legal are already working on the details and would probably have names finalized by end of this month.
My guess, unless you have a works council or union is JG10 and below will be told in march.
Bosses who complete the firing will themselves know if they are staying about April.
If any JG15 and up are cut this round probably late April.
Tireman has a townhall on Feb 24. Expect grim reaper visits to happen in early March for the lower classes in EO.
