This is confusing. We've been hearing about the Ford+ plan for a year. So what are they announcing?!?
The did the same thing last year for those with short memories.
Announced the Ford + plan in February, then by end of March (end of first qtr) the cuts came - I know I was one of them I Model E - about 500 in all. Then more cuts near the beginning of 3rd quarter ( much more - just over 3,000 salaried and about 1,000 contract)
So for those still sleep walking, this is the clear starting bell for another round of cuts. So all of you get your resumes in order, cause it doesn’t matter your age or what team you are on - you are all subject to being cut.
Ford+ is very easy to explain.....
Imagine setting the table and laying out the silverware. There are times when you use two forks (dinner, salad) and two spoons (soup, desert). Technically you don't need the extra silverware but it's nice to have on occasion. The (+) in Ford+ is kinda like the added silverware.... Thats the easiest way to better understand, just imagine Ford will now always have the added silverware to use.
So what’s Ford+ anyway? Can some one explain it?

2 years in and we might finally get see what the Ford+ plan really is? I can't wait.

From what I heard, Feb. 15 announcement is mainly related to Ford of Europe job cut. Not related to North America.
Well I guess the new layoff plan??????
