Firehouse Subs

What's with the massive terminations and resignations at Firehouse HQ? I thought that FHS had a strong corporate staff and base? I guess not!

I worked at HQ with the original staff. An immature clique totally lacking professionalism. Nobody was qualified for their position / title. Managers hired by friends (with zero experience in whatever their title was—a manufactured title to fit the salary) who left early every day. Supervisors
allowed to swear at subordinates, call them stupid in front of co-workers, etc. (These were qualified, conscientious staff). Constant bullying. If you stood up for anyone, you became the target. Several reported harassment to HR. HR admitted the problem and did nothing. Totally toxic. This was no place for a true professional. They finally got what they deserved!

Nothing new, fresh, or innovative. JJ's. Jersey Mike's, even Subway, are hitting it out of the park. Everything at Firehouse us same 'ol, same 'ol. Even the service has gone down in our opinion. Only reason we eat there rarely is to support the foundation that was started by the original owners.

And now today, one of the key people, the CEO was seemingly forced into retirement with one days notice. The CEO was one of the people that put the brand on the map. All of a sudden RBI doesn't need him? The Culture of the Family run business is gone, the pride, the loyalty of the HQ staff, gone. What's next; The Food Quality?

When you see Firehouse Subs add items such as French Fries, or Chicken Wings, you will realize they have lost their focus on exciting and innovative Subs. Think Blimpie or Miami Subs. Jersey Mike's and Jimmy John's must be loving the disorganization and personnel changes at HQ. Chaos. But the Founders made their billion and left the loyal employees out to dry.

First the Greed of the Founders, no bonus upon sale for loyal long time HQ staff, found out about the sale on the news. Then RBI, with their determination to terminate all the original staff has led to complete confusion, paranoia, and depression. Firehouse HQ staff leaving by the day. Seems RBI's goal is to lower costs including quality of foods, management, and culture. Great for the Founders, lousy for the employees, and now the customers. Too bad, so sad.
