Global Projects Guyana Tyarsnts

Do any of you in GPC feel lost in our Guyana venture toxic culture? Our supervisor expects 100% office attendance which conflicts with HR policies. We have teams expected to carry two or three project loads. I'm at a loss.

PSA - Global Projects people have transferable skills. I know this board loves to argue about whether you are stuck in this industry or not, but just do a little searching on LinkedIn. There are a lot of former GP people that are now at Facebook, Tesla, Intel, Amazon, Microsoft, and other technology companies.

Without exception GP is a sh-t show of the highest order. Supervision and above are focused only on administration and their own careers. If you're not in the top 20% of tyrannical devotees then there's no worthwhile projects allocated to you.

@vki+1kz8hO2B We all work hard but OP is clearly upset at supervisors who don't follow HR policy. I've encountered this though I am not in GP any more.

OMG you have to go to work! I wouldn’t put up with that, I’d quit immediately and find a job where I don’t have to go to work.

No wonder people are quitting. No work life balance, no empowerment, running 3 projects at one time. Select few are rewarded. Toxic at the core.

It's run like an old colonial rubber plantation.
Once you can accept that - all good.
